We are deeply grateful to the many foundations, corporations, individuals and government sources that since 1995 have supported chashama’s programming and advocated our mission, attesting to the value of our services, and helping us enhance the cultural vibrancy of our city.
As a non-profit entity, we consistently receive funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and various City and State Government Representatives. The Tides Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Carnegie Corporation, and the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation have each been instrumental in supporting our programmatic and infrastructural growth throughout the years.
chashama’s FY12 initiatives are supported by grants from: the Lambent Foundation fund of the Tides Foundation; National Endowment for the Arts; Bloobmerg Philanthropies; New York City Department of Cultural Affairs; New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature; City Council Speaker Christine Quinn; City Council Member Jessica Lappin; City Council Member Daniel Garodnick; City Council Member Leroy Comrie; the chashama Board of Directors; and individual contributors.
