Athena La Tocha

A graduate from Stony Brook University (MFA 2007) and member of The Arts Students League of New York, Athena La Tocha portrays how industrial development has permanently disrupted the path of our natural world. She is simultaneously inspired by Alaska's vastly void spaces and the opposing idea of human impact on our earth. The painting and drawing tools she uses are unorthodox, including cracked rocks, concrete bricks, and reclaimed automobile tire shreds picked up off the sides of highways. Athena has held numerous solo exhibitions including a recent show at Gallery SENSEI.
