James Lipovac is a painter based in New York City. He has exhibited internationally at the NES Foundation in Iceland, the Léhon Abbaye in France, and most recently in the 2015 Venice Biennale at the ArtVenice 3 exhibition. Currently an artist in residence at the Chashama Workspace program, he was a receipt of a FDF grant from the Pratt institute. He had a solo exhibition at the Delaware Center for Contemporary Art and had work at the Noyes Museum. He has shown extensively in New York City at places including the Ethan Cohen Gallery, Loft 594, Scope Art Fair, Pit Gallery, and the Conde Nast building. James received a BFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art and went on to earn his MFA from Indiana University. His work is in numerous collections including Vice President Joe Biden, the Sprint Corporation, and the city of Léhon, France.
