untitled  (December 18, 2000-January 14, 2001) An exhibition of drawings, paintings and mobiles by Myrna C. Williams in the lobby gallery of 135 W.42nd Street.

Herakles (November 30-December 16, 2000) A site-specific production directed by Minneapolis director Jay Scheib at 111 W.42nd Street.

The Antigone (November 27-December 3, 2000) Michael McCartney’s production of the Sophocles play featured an all male cast performing in mask. Directed by Jason Stevens from a new translation by Jamey Hecht, Ph.D.

Betstilmo Makes  (November 14-December 14, 2000)  An exhibition of treated photography by Doug Con Douglas in the lobby gallery of 135 W.42nd Street.

The Handsome Execution of a Flower (November 8 -18, 2000) An evening length solo dance performed by DD Dorvillier at 111 W.42nd Street, including video by Dorvillier and Tal Yarden.

In Private  (October 10-November 13, 2000)  An exhibition of pen and pencil drawings by artist and choreographer Wendy Blum in the lobby gallery of 135 W.42nd Street.

As You Like It (October 10-29, 2000) A Liar’s Club production of  the popular Shakespeare play, directed by Erica Schmidt. A chashama co-production at 111 W.42nd Street.

The Picture (October 4-22, 2000)  Eugene Ionesco’s play featuring Tony Torn, Tom Pearl and Anita Durst, directed by Ian Belton. Co-produced with The Sanctuary Theater. Performed at 135 W.42nd Street.

Finally (October 2000)  A solo show written by Stephen Belber and produced by David Henderson. Performed at the Henry Miller’s Theater at 124 W.43rd Street and at 111 W.42nd Street.

untitled  (August-September 9, 2000) An exhibition –chashama’s first- of watercolor drawings by Jessie Hawley in the lobby gallery of 135 W.42nd Street.

Three (September 2000) A program of three one acts including Eugene O’Neill’s “Before Breakfast” - directed by Rip Torn, Julianna Francis’s “Box”  - directed by Tony Torn, and “Pandora’s Box of Sweets” - directed by Rip Torn. Co-produced with The Sanctuary Theater. Performed at 135 W.42nd Street.

Deli Dances (August 3-18, 2000)  A summer series of dance and performance art featuring 44 of New York’s emerging choreographers.  Free performances inside the theater and in the storefront window of 135 West 42nd Street. Curated by Despina Stamos and Tony Silva. A chashama production.

Phase I (selling out to the bare walls) (July 2000) A reverse-venue performance by members of the future National Theater for the United States of America, where the audience is seated in the display windows of 135 W.42nd Street and the street becomes the proscenium stage for the event. The performers eventually raffle off the audience to the highest bidder.

Not From Concentrate (June 2000)  An evening of two one-act plays directed by David Henderson: Galigator by Jeffrey Romanow and Love by Stephen Belber. Performed at 111 W.42nd Street.

The Stronger & Pariah  (March 2000) Written by August Strindberg and directed by Ian Belton. A chashama production at 111 W.42nd Street.

Hors-La (January-February 2000) An original site-specific piece created by Yehuda Duenyas exploring an energy transmission between audience and performer at 111 W.42nd Street.
