SUMMER RESIDENCY

Our summer program runs from May-October, with five 4-week sessions. During each session, six artists and writers from diverse artistic backgrounds live and create at chaNorth.  Our communal kitchen is stocked with fresh, local organic produce and whole grains. Where cooperatively prepared daily meals are the anchor of the program. Room and board for the residency is $975 for the month plus a $200 security deposit.

Required application materials:

• One page containing NAME, ADDRESS, OCCUPATION, DOB, PHONE, EMAIL, and  3 SESSION PREFERENCES.
• IMAGES OF YOUR WORK*: 4 images of recent work that best represent the kind of work you would like to do during your studio residency.
• FOR WRITERS ONLY: A 5-10 page writing sample
• IMAGE SCRIPT: A Microsoft Word, simple text or rich text document
    - The numbers on the script should correspond with the numbers of your image files.  
    -  Include the title, date, medium, dimensions, and a brief description of the work (less than 50 words for each image).
• ARTIST/WRITER STATEMENT: Also a Microsoft Word, simple text or rich text document
   - In 250 words or less, write a statement about your work and your process.
• RESUME

    *Accepted File type: JPG only , Maximum size in any direction: 1000px  (pixels)
    *Each image file must be titled with your Last Name, underscore, First Name, image number.                     (Example: Smith_John01.jpg ) Be sure to clearly label each file and CD with your name to avoid mixups.

*If selected, appointment will be arranged for interview to occur.
