Between Us

I create performance/installations that challenge viewers' empathetic connection to the artistís body. My conceptual foundation is in contemporary theory and philosophy, although I am greatly influenced by literature and religion. My performances and installations are directed by the architectural logic of a site, as I attempt to create formal predicaments from which I work my way out. I am more overpoweringly propelled, however, by a visceral psychological need to escape the persona I embody in the moments of performance.
