Marco Teubner and Helge Meyer formed the group in 1998 in Hildesheim, Germany after meeting during their Cultural Studies at the University. The performance series "perform" in 1999 was their first work together.
After this 5 days 12 hours series, they were invited to perform with Black Market International on the Expo 2000 in Hanover, Germany. After this, invitations to performance festivals in countries like Finland, Italy, Japan, China, Russia, Philippines, Canada and USA followed. System HM2T work parallel as a duo, solo and with Black Market International.
