Vassya Slavova Vassileva is currently working on her PhD in Art Semiotics at New Bulgarian University, Sofia. Her previous studies include MA in Philosophy and Intercultural Studies, St. Kliment Ohridski University, Sofia and BA in Art Pedagogy and Art History, St. Kliment Ohridski University. Occasionally she delivers lectures on Visual Semiotics at New Bulgarian University, and works in the fields of performance art, digital imaging, and installation. Her theoretical research focuses on hermeneutics and semiotics of contemporary art practices. Since December 2004 she has been in search for the artist Friedrich Nightmargen.
