Duality is a fiber sculpture installation that demonstrates the contrast between feminine and masculine qualities. The artist uses found objects, fiber, and wire to connect her study of masculinity and femininity to create a big, bold, statement while allowing the viewer to interpret it using the boundaries she has set.

“I am drawn to masculine objects; using these objects as a frame to create a soft feeling with delicate feminine fibers. The masculine object sets the foundation, and the work itself conceptually deals with creating a balance between space and masculinity and femininity. Working with different materials creates a different outcome; one that is elegant inconsistent, and free flowing.” - Amanda Heidel
