Handwerk is German for the word craft.
Handwerk, the exhibit, is a series of map paintings, wall hangings, and folk art.
Handwerk represents the idea of taking what is not and making it what it is.
This is Heidel's first solo exhibit in New York.

Artist Statement:
“By living life on the fringes and observing, you see things in a different way. I have come to be comfortable with the feeling of being uncomfortable. The art that I create is a visual representation of how I see the world, from the eyes of a wallflower.”
