Dr. Drum: Co-Founder and musical director of BombaYo Afro-Puerto Rican Youth Project.
Bomba-yo is a youth project dedicated to preserving the rich Afro Puerto Rican tradition of Bomba.

Inspired by her first contact with Yoruba beliefs, these pieces celebrate the forces between the spiritual world and the here now. They represent the positive energy that the Orishas can influence in our everyday lives.

Artist Bio:
Born in Valencia, Spain, she earned the Fine Arts Degree in 2001 from Universitat Politecnica of Valencia. She spent a semester as an Erasmus exchange student in the Kent Institute of Art and Design and currently pursues a PhD in Graphic Design.  Since her arrival in New York in January 2009, she has been illustrating, designing and sharing her skills with youth empowering workshops throughout the city.  She can be frequently be found showcasing her works at the Union Square Artisan Market, First Wednesday Trolley sponsored by the Bronx Council of the Arts and other festivals throughout the city and abroad.
She currently lives in the Bronx.
