chashama's Visual Arts Program: Curators
To support the independent curator, chashama will be offering its exhibition spaces to individuals wishing to present works of artists. Emerging and established curators (and artists who wish to curate) are welcome to apply. As chashama is interested in supporting the independent curator, curators with gallery affiliations will not be accepted. Affiliations with other non-profit arts organizations are acceptable.
- chashama will provide the venue change over, repairing & refreshing the space, repainting the gallery and mopping the floor between shows.
- chashama will provide publicity for the exhibit through snail mail, email and faxing press releases and postcards to our extensive list of art critics, publications and art press.
- Curators will be responsible for hanging and removing the exhibit from the space.
- Curators will be responsible for staffing the locations during the exhibit’s open hours (a minimum of 30 hours per week).
- chashama receives a 15% donation of the purchase price for any works sold in exhibit at a chashama location.
